Spiritual Formation

» Spiritual Formation

Developing a holistic view of faith and calling is at the core of the Fellows Program. Therefore, spiritual growth is nurtured in a variety of ways.

Roundtable

Fellows gather for an informal meal two Monday evenings/month. Besides the fellowship and free meal, the men and women engage in a discussion of spiritual issues led by Vince Burens, COO of Coalition for Christian Outreach. Fellows learn from Scripture together and share common experiences. Roundtable is a time of great thinking in a casual environment.

Anchor

Fellows are required to attend Anchor, the 20’s and 30’s ministry of St. Stephen’s twice monthly. By being part of a community of young professionals, Fellows learn from others as they enjoy a meal and fellowship together. Led by Aaron Zimmerman, Anchor tackles relevant issues, often incorporating cultural icons to show biblical truth.

Worship at St. Stephen’s

Fellows are expected to attend one of the weekend worship services at St. Stephen’s.In this way Fellows become part of a larger, diverse community of believers. Worship ranges from contemporary to traditional but is always scripturally inspired.

Community Building

Living together in common houses, Fellows encourage one another, keeping each other accountable. Providing a venue for responsibility and self-discipline, this also encourages working together and strengthening the common bond in Christ. This shared housing arrangement is unique to the Pittsburgh Fellows program.
